A transparent, practitioner-informed research platform for developing and vetting an SPJ framework for AI-mediated violence, self-harm, and anti-technology grievance pathways.
The Gap
Why This Project?
Behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) tools have been developed and validated for decades to support structured professional judgment in high-stakes risk settings. But no existing SPJ framework addresses the emerging risk landscape created by widespread AI interaction — where AI companions, chatbots, and generative systems are now active participants in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
The AIR-SPJ Project brings together researchers, practitioners, and threat assessment professionals to build an evidence-mapped, transparent, peer-reviewed framework — openly documented from the ground up.
Architecture
What We're Building
Evidence-Mapped Framework
Every SPJ element is linked to a specific evidence base, with source tier ratings and direct citations — not just clinical consensus.
Contributor Review
Researchers and practitioners submit evidence, findings, and observations through a structured portal with multi-stage editorial review.
Defensible Record
Full audit trail, version history, and public-facing evidence library for transparent accountability and future validation efforts.
Important Disclaimer
The AIR-SPJ is a proposed structured professional judgment framework under development. It is not validated and should not be used as a stand-alone tool for assessing or managing violence, self-harm, or suicide risk.
This platform is NOT a scoring engine, diagnostic tool, or risk prediction system. It is a research and evidence-mapping tool to support the transparent development of an SPJ framework.
