D11Protective and Management Factors

D11-E02

Human Support

Description

The person maintains meaningful relationships with family, peers, clinicians, mentors, faith leaders, supervisors, or team members.

Rationale

Meaningful human relationships are the primary protective factor across every pathway in this framework. They provide reality testing, early warning, help-seeking opportunities, and emotional support that reduces reliance on AI. The quality and accessibility of these relationships — not just their nominal existence — determines their protective value.
