D10 — Targeted Violence Pathway
Violent Ideation Shared With AI
Description
The person discloses fantasies, threats, plans, grudges, revenge thinking, or admiration for attackers.
Rationale
Violent ideation disclosed in AI conversation is direct evidence of the content of the person's thinking. Unlike ideation disclosed to a human — which is subject to social desirability effects — AI disclosures may be more candid, more detailed, and more revealing of actual planning. The specificity, target identification, and rehearsal quality of the ideation are all relevant.
