Treatment or Support Engagement

Description

The person engages with clinical care, crisis support, counseling, case management, or other supports.

Rationale

Engagement with clinical, crisis, or support services provides both a risk interruption function and a protective relationship function. Active engagement — not just nominal enrollment — is the relevant variable. The quality of the therapeutic relationship and the degree to which the clinician understands AI risk factors are also relevant.
